Brussels – day 1

Earthly things that made my heart look up (in Brussels this time, with my dear friend Loreen):

  • little colourful streets filled with homemade chocolate shops
  • the belgian people with their nordic feeling and their interesting way of matching clothes and shoes
  • the beautiful couple from the restaurant where we stopped to warm ourselves – they made me think love changes us for the better
  • women on bicycles wearing skirts and rainbow leggings
  • the boy scouts in the city market defying the weather outside with their short pants
  • the stained glasses from all the big cathedrals in town : do people climb a ladder to paint those?
  • Paul tastes better in Belgium – the steam rising from a cup o tea
  • the blonde kids – they all looked like they landed straight from a fairytale
  • that gazing look from a young stranger passing by
  • the buildings with large windows and soft, white curtains
  • the warm sunlight, the pavement, the green grass
  • the sound of bells ringing in the sunset
  • the “in between” silence
  • Norah Jones while reading a good book in a afternoon
  • His creation
